Job Description: Technical Coach

Indicative years of experience: 12-15 Years

Role Description:

Engineering technical coach to design, develop, coordinate, conduct and monitor large or small-scale coaching and mentoring programs required for individuals and team's transformation. Job involves getting deeper to understand scrum team challenges and influence change thru hands-on coaching, mentoring and training.

Reporting relationship:

This position will report to Program Manager - IT.

Key Responsibilities:

- Effectively and efficiently educate new and experienced employees on:

1. Java programming, efficient ways of writing code, Design patterns,

2. Test Automation practices including but not limited to unit test automation, functional test automation, regression test automation, testbed conceptualization and implementation, test automation metrics, test automation do's and don- ts, exploratory testing

3. XP Engineering practices (TDD/BDD/Pair/Mob programming etc.),

4. DevOps (CI/CD/CD/Metrics etc.) tactics,

5. Agile concepts.

- Working closely with teams in Dojos - self-learning and knowledge enhancement. Provide coaching, mentoring and providing feedback to staff and team leaders on learning and for further improvement.

- Demonstrate leadership by effectively coordinating, participating, monitoring and meeting deadlines of assigned engagements while focusing on company/BU goals

- Ensuring timely updates of coaching material and current curriculum.

- Follow the corporate and business unit standards to prepare material as well as to identify and analyze the learning needs of staff to meet expectations and internal service standards.

- Identifying the problems in specificdesignated areas towards performance or procedural and working towards resolving those problems.

- Driving the process improvements and idea generation within the team by promoting a self-engaged culture of brainstorming and active coaching

- Work actively and closely with the leaders to devise plan around coaching and mentoring teams

- Understanding and implementing Principal Global Services- strategic initiatives/business objectives in collaboration with the leaders

- Acts as a role model/informal leader

- Drive Innovation and Improvements

- Assist leaders in creating and monitoring the action plans for team improvements

Must have:

Education: Graduate - bachelor's degree (any stream)

Skills required:

Development - Java, J2EE, Adv. Java, Explore New tools, should have basic Agile knowledge

Testing - J Unit, Selenium, QA (Automation), Regression Testing, Exploratory Testing

Good to Have - Angular, Protactor, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, XL Release (Orchestration Tool), Agile Coaching,

Other: Should be ready for coaching thrugh hands on Java code, Design patterns, Test Automation experience, XP practices (TDD/BDD/Pair/Mob programming etc.), Coaching, DevOps fundamentals (Tools, CI, CD, Automation etc.)
