As a senior software development engineer, you will build our next-generation data analytics platform utilizing most advanced technologies.
We're looking for an engineering peer with strong background in J2EE stack.

What will you do?
1. Design, architect, develop and scale Voot's big data platform by using multiple cloud
2. Choose the best tools for the job by evaluating competing services and back their choices
3. Contribute to challenging problems with scalable solutions
4. Diagnose and debug issues in production environment
5. Self-starter, proactive, accountable team player
6. Identify and develop reusable framework components
7. Keep upgrading yourself and the stack simultaneously
Our expectations :
1. 12 - 14 years experience with strong programming and designing skills in Java, J2EE and associated technologies (Spring, Hibernate, Web Services) using OO Design Patterns
2. Experience of reactive platform like Akka, RxJava or Vert.x is a must
3. Deep understanding and implementation of NoSQL databases like Couchbase, MongoDB, Memcache, Redis, HBase, Cassandra etc.
4. Hands on and good knowledge of AWS services such as Pipeline, ElasticBeanstalk, Firehose, S3, ElasticCache, EMR, Kinesis, etc is a must
5. Should have worked on at least one ETL based project
6. Understanding of indexing engines like Solr and / or ElasticSearch
7. Strong exposure in RDBMS
8. Write elegant and testable code
9. Should have built applications / software involving concurrent and /or distributed systems
10. Highly Tech Savvy and champion in Data Structures and Algorithms. Good exposure into design patterns
11. Working experience with ESB and Queuing platforms such as Mule, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, ActiveMQ is highly desirable
12. Knowledge of distributed system such as Kafka, Storm, Flink, Samza is a very big plus
13. Working knowledge with Linux is big plus
