Java Architect - System Design (10-19 yrs) (Executive Search Firm)

We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and hands-on Architect who can build, optimize and enhance our backend capability, leverage our usage of the Google Cloud platform and create powerful backend microservices and functionality. Our system stores sensitive data, so security is of paramount importance. A successful candidate is capable of driving requirements and design with a focus on availability, security, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

- Work with the partner Architects and Technical Specialists to discuss the goals and needs of the product

- Convey architectural solutions to all levels of professionals and leaders

- Learn new technologies and work in an agile development environment

- Examine and define system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible

- Review code, project output and mentor the team to raise the bar on coding excellence

- Define, maintain and support development environment while adopting industry best practices and tools

- Assist all team members when they are stuck, and helps others level up their skills by providing kind and direct feedback

Qualifications :

- At least 10+ years of technology experience including 3+ years of design and solutions/application architecture experience

- Proven experience in systems architecture, design and development

- Hands-on coding experience in Java/J2EE, Spring

- Experience in architecting and designing frameworks

- Strong understanding and hands on experience in developing/providing solution based on cloud native architectures

- Excellent experience on applying design patterns to customer problems

- Experience on Microservices and Containerization

- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services AWS/Gloogle Cloud

- Experience on working with different databases like MySql, PostgreSQL etc

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
