Solution Architect - Mainframe - Java/J2EE Technologies (13-22 yrs) (MindGen Solutions)

We have a senior opportunity for Solution Architect- Mainframe with one of our clients for Bangalore location.

Required Skills : 

- Strong technical background in legacy technologies (preferred MVS/Cobol/ DB2/ CICS/IMS) and distributed technologies (preferred Java/XML/ J2EE Application Servers), .net also desirable

- Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop new skills quickly

- Strong understanding of Enterprise and Application Architecture

- Effectively manage architectural and technical risks and stakeholder communication

- Be able to manage their own time such that they can deliver to project milestones

- Provide thought leadership and solutions to the customer through this engagement apart from the regular program deliverables viz. Legacy Modernization, Code optimization, Technology upgrade solutions, etc.

- Responsible for being the technical subject matter expert for the implementation and ensuring the implementation adheres to the proposed design

- Establish a technology governance framework to ensure high quality and on-time delivery of the solution

- Train the team on various architectural, design and technologies as required for the overall solution

- Assumes principle technical role in demonstrations, furnishing technical expertise and answering client inquiries with regard to the technology

- Responsible for presenting cost estimates for the Mainframe solution implementation process and any ongoing production support of the solution

- Engages in project communications with the client using a consultative approach, anticipates obstacles, and recommends solution options to mitigate.

- Ensures solution design fulfills functional and technical requirements and can consistently meet progress against service level agreements (SLAs.)

- Accountable for the accuracy, process, integrity, quality and stewardship of client Mainframe infrastructure solutions.

- Be self-motivated and a good self-starter

Required Skills :

- Should be a hands-on Architect, to solve technical problems as raised by the project team

- Strong knowledge of legacy modernization approaches and experience in such areas will be extremely useful

- Knowledge and experience on Service Oriented Architecture is a plus

- In-depth knowledge of estimation methodologies and SDLC processes is a basic requirement

- Strong ability to listen to business needs, identify desired outcomes and craft comprehensive solutions while building credibility in relationships

- Previous role as an Architect in modernization solution vendor or mainframe environments
