Job Title : Solution Architect

Job Overview : Assists in creating technical specifications and provides support, troubleshooting, and implementation services during client engagements. Codes for either back-end support or user-interface functionality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Produces technical architecture design to support overall client needs/business requirements that is both affordable and supportable.

- Translates requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design artifacts

- Acts as visionary and strategist for relevant solution areas.

- Leads the architecture and design on medium and large sized programs, projects or bids, ensuring that the overall solution architecture meets needs/business requirements

- Surveys market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods

- Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation

- Quality control of internal and external client-oriented documentation

- Speaks at trade conferences and seeks authorship opportunities in publications

- Writes or directs the writing of white papers that add further insight and thought in the solution area

- Analyzes and explains the risks involved in adopting certain technology solutions

- Lead development of formalized solution methodologies

- Interfaces and coordinates tasks with internal and external technical resources.

- Collaborates with Project Managers and technical resources to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts

- Oversees aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within the solution area

- Provides quality assurance for services within the solution area

- Partners with Vega staff and clients to ensure successful project completion

- Escalates issues in a timely fashion and suggests alternative approaches

- Maintains high customer focus and manages customer expectations in a responsive manner

- Communicates status according to project communication plan

- Exhibits flexibility by handling different tasks in the project

Minimum Job Requirements :

a) Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field

b) 5-8 years- experience with the following :

- Database platforms

- Middle-Tier Platforms

- Certified on IBM stacks for IBM Case Manager

- Java/J2EE

- DHTML, JavaScript

- Web application servers

- SQL

c) Excellent verbal and written communication skills

d) Analytical and problem solving skills

e) Willingness and ability to travel regularly
