Java Engineer - J2EE/Webservices (5-9 yrs) (Freelancing)

About the position :

Responsibilities :

- Understand the requirements/usecases and provide an efficient optimal Java-based solution

- Review the peer code and provide constructive good-quality feedback

- Attend call with the customers as and when required to understand and resolve their issues

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in software development using Java with strong hands-on in Java coding

- Expertise in writing SQL queries for popular databases (Oracle, MySql, etc)

- Well-versed in Unix/Linux commands

- Knowledge about SOAP, REST, XML and JSON

- Sound grip in IDEs such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc

- Proficient in Maven and Git

- Effective communication skills

Additional/Recommended Skills :

- Exposure to various tools (Soap UI, Postman, SQL Toad, etc)

- Knowledge or experience in CI/CD flow such as GitHub, Jenkins, Travis, etc

- Familiarity with code review tools such as Rb Commons, Crucible, etc

- Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (Oauth2)

- Exposure to Cloud Computing
