Director - Software Engineering - Java/J2EE/Big Data Technologies (15-19 yrs) (Edge in Asia Recruitment Private Limited)

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Lead and grow a team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run.

- Displaying deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that will help your team meet business and functional requirements.

- Provide guidance, to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems relating to Big data /Hadoop internally and externally.

- Ownership of driving the entire program for Big data and data management and be a subject matter expert in technology

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Minimum 15+ years of hands on work experience preferably in in Java/J2EE Technologies (Application development) and 4+ years of hands on experience working with Hadoop ecosystem.

- Hands-on experience working with big data related technologies: Hadoop, HDFS, Map-Reduce, HBase, Hive, Spark, Kafka etc. with production implementation and troubleshooting experience

- Experience with Hortonworks Data platform is a big plus.

- Must have experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment -

- Must possess strong design skills and ability to use various design patterns to develop solutions rapidly

- Must be a self-starter with strong problem management skills.

- have excellent communication skills with ability to deliver timely and responsive service to internal clients
