GCP Cloud Security Engineer - BigQuery/Data Pipeline (5-11 yrs) (Mindsoft India)

- Research, design, and implement Cybersecurity solutions to sensitive information in GCP products like Compute Engine, App Engine, and Kubernetes Engine

- Integrate security best practices like SecDevOps, multiple zone and multiple region redundancy, IAM, encryption, and security analytics leveraging Cloud Identity, Cloud KMS, Apigee, Cloud Security Command Center, and Container Registry to support dynamic and immutable cloud infrastructure

- Assist with the design and development of a multi-account/region, highly available and automated GCP environment to support full SDLC and production of mission-critical applications

- Contribute to the creation of system support documents, SOPs, and Cloud Formation templates

- Ongoing performance tuning and system optimization. Reactively troubleshoot outages, perform root cause analysis, and execute continual service improvements

- Monitor infrastructure and pro-actively mitigate potential incidents before service degradation occurs. Mitigate service disruptions with designed redundancy, backups, and highly available solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- In-depth hands-on work experience with implementations of / migrations into Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

- Hands on experience with Dataflow/Dataproc. Strong knowledge of Google BigQuery and architecting data pipelines

- Familiarity with open source cloud and application platforms, Google App Engine development experience

- Knowledge of Java / J2EE technologies and Architecting solutions using Web technologies

- Expert in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical/debugging skills

- Familiarity with private / public cloud design considerations / limitations in virtualization and global infrastructure, load balancing / networking, massive data storage, Hadoop, MapReduce, and security

- Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, Firewall/NGFW, EDR / DLP, UEBA and hybrid/Cloud Security environments

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience migrating and deploying GCP cloud-based solutions

- 5+ years architecting, implementing and supporting GCP infrastructure and topologies

- Experience implementing and maintaining security for cloud-based systems and application in GCP

- Experience writing standard operating procedures, system requirements, and technical documents

- Scripting language experience (Python, Javascript, etc.), Strong working knowledge of automation tools such as (Puppet, Jenkins, and Chef). Working knowledge of RDS database such as PostgresSQL, Oracle, and MySQL

- Should possess one or more of the following certifications - CISSP, SANS GCIH, Vendor Certifications (CISO, Palo Alto, McAfee, IBM etc). GCP certification will be a huge plus
