Job Description :
- The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products.
- You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.
The incumbent would be responsible for :
- Developing and installing software solutions.
- Designing, implementing and delivering high-quality Software projects in JAVA, SQL/Oracle, J2EE and other JAVA technologies.
Responsibilities :
- Participate in detailed level in design, coding, code walkthrough, peer code reviews and unit testing, System Testing, UAT, Demos, POCs, installation, maintenance of Software modules.
- Ensures the preparation in the following :
a) Software Prototype
b) System Architecture, Software Design Document
c) User interfaces to be developed as per UX guidelines
d) Code files ensuring coding guidelines followed
e) Code review artifacts during peer code review
f) Test plan and Test Cases
g) Installation/Deployment document
h) Release Document & Technical Documentation
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagram, charts, and code. comments and clear code; Ensuring that project task are completed in defined effort and timelines.
- Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards & programming.
- Testing : Writing of test cases, unit testing, system testing, negative testing
- Troubleshooting : Log analysis and database query optimization
- Improves operations by conducting system's analysis.
- Updates job knowledge by studying state of the art development tools, programming techniques & computing equipment; participates in educational opportunities, reads - professional publications & maintains personal networks.
- Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Provides information by collecting, analysing, summarizing development & service issues.
- Develops software solution by studying information needs, conferring with users, studding system flow, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas, following delivery cycle.
- Ensuring that the Newgen quality processes are in place and are followed.
Desired Qualifications :
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science (or related field) with 60% throughout
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of current technological trends in the Software development industry, such as OOPs, Multi-Tier Software development, Component Architecture, Web-Based Software
Should be able to do :
- Coding : Application of technical knowledge, system analysis and evaluation
- Testing : Application of technical knowledge, critical thinking, analytical abilities, problem-solving and willingness to learn
- Troubleshooting : application of architectural knowledge & strong technical skills.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
