IBM Intelligent Operations Center Developer - Java/J2EE/XML/SQL/DB2 (6-17 yrs) (Acesoft Labs)

IOC specific development knowledge required to support IOC:

1. Experience of the IOC architecture, source code, open source packages used in the solution

2. Experience of building IOC solution, including how to upgrade the IBM Middleware packages that are co-installed with IOC (e.g. IBM Java SDK, IBM WebSphere Liberty).

3. Experience of maintaining/updating the automated build process and Jenkins tool

4. Experience of IOC test plans. Knowledge of ESRI maps is required to test the solution.

5. Experience of the IOC development and test workflows in RTC for managing the SW project

6. IOC deployment is a 4 server setup and it is essential to understand the deployment topology to understand customer implementation of the solution and trouble shoot customer cases. Ability to deploy IOC on a HA environment is also required

7. Creation of sample datasources e.g. ESRI datasource

8. Knowledge of KPI workflow in the solution

9. Experience of using Cognos, Streams. SPSS with IOC

10. Experience of the data migration workflow for customers who are upgrading from earlier versions of the solution

11. Experience of the Device Management Enablement (DME) component working on the IOC platform

Level 3 Support Engineer skills required:

- A deep understanding of IBMs support policies and procedures

- Self-starter who learns new technologies quickly, can multi-task, and has strong analytical skills.

- Familiar with agile development methodologies

- Knowledge of designing, developing, and testing with Java/Web technologies

- Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, DB2, Cognos or Oracle understanding and experience desirable

- Works well in a global team environment but is also able to work independently

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Fluency in English

- Knowledge of IBM Release Management tools and processes used to support quarterly releases of Intelligent Operations Centre.

- Knowledge of IBM PSIRT reporting tool and associated workflow

Level 3 Engineer responsibilities include:

- Review requirement documentation and technical specifications

- Design, code, and test product features

- Work with QA teams to resolve defects

- Contribute to product documentation

- Complete provided training and education courses

- Provide L3 technical support and maintenance to Customers as described herein

- Maintain and update where necessary the environment needed to create, test and publish APAR builds using IBM hosted VMs

- Release management for non-development deliverables

- One member of the team to act as security focal for solution
