Senior Software Engineer - Java/J2EE Technologies (4-8 yrs) (AppTalent Business Solutions)

Roles and Responsibilities :

We are looking for a Java Developer who possesses a passion for pushing web technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation applications.

- Design and build advanced applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Work with outside data sources and API's

- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities :

- In depth knowledge of Core Java/J2EE concepts (Threading, Java Collection, Exception, OOPS) and hands on experience with java libraries and packages

- Good working knowledge and hands-on experience on Tomcat Webserver, JSP, Servlet, JDBC, MySQL, JQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

- Basics of Web Services and REST APIs

- Familiar with Eclipse

- Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot

- Knowledge of Design Patterns

- Knowledge of Linux is an additional advantage

- Knowledge of AWS, Maven, Jenkins is a plus

- Must be proficient in development environment and source control system

- Knowledge of programming concepts and debugging.

- Should be comfortable with SDLC Concepts and should be able to write SQL queries.

- Good communication and presentation skills

- Should have good aptitude and attitude with ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
