WHAT DOES THIS ROLE HOLD FOR YOU

CarDekho.com is India's leading car search venture that helps users buy right cars. We provide a rich array of tech-enabled tools to OEMs and Car dealers including apps for dealer sales executives to manage leads, punch Insurance, file Loan cases (FinTech) and participate in Auctions. We also provide cloud services for tracking sales performance, CRM tools, digital marketing support, virtual online showroom and lead management system.

Used Car business is the focus area for the company. The entire Used Car Business in the country is at the precipice of an evolution. Our vision is to be the leading user car venture in the country. Essentially completing the car ecosystem offering between new and used car along with providing the best experience to consumers.

Being an online product-tech company, we always embrace technologies like AI/ML, NodeJS, Java, PHP, AngularJS, React, Mysql, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Elastic etc which are required to build sustainable products.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Leader with around 10+ years of experience

- Who can solve critical business problems through advanced engineering tools like AI/ML, predictive algorithms, BPMN workflow engines, DMN decision tables, Actor based frameworks, Microservices, DDD, TDD, BDD, etc.

- A hands on architect, who doesn- t shy away from rolling up this sleeves and get this hands dirty to clean the tech-debt.

- A performance engineer who can build scalable and distributed systems to handle high transaction loads

- A tech visionary who can understand the eco-system and come up with novel architecture to solve the entwined business needs of the ecosystem

- A leader who walks-the-talk

- A troubleshooter whose ideal day involves solving a seemingly unsolvable production issue

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a nimble team of 25+ A-Players comprising of Technical Architects and Engineers

- Own and deliver key technical initiatives across the Used Car Products

- Own and deliver key technical architectures across Used Car Products

- Help build the Used Car Technical Ecosystem involving interplay of existing and new products

- Create source of truths of data for Used Car ecosystem through software products

- Provide technical mentorship to upskill the Used Car engineering team

- Head of Architecture for Used Car tech ecosystem

- Define standards and best practices for technology team for Used Car Vertical

- Identify, plan, estimate, track and deliver tech initiatives

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

- Total 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of relevant experience from e-commerce industry

- Mandatory experience of architecting / developing scalable and distributed software solutions using but not limited to RDBMS, NoSql, Message brokers, AWS, Java / JEE, enterprise architecture patterns, GOF design patterns, etc
