Backend Engineer. As a lead backend engineer, you- ll come in and lay the groundwork for how engineering is practised. You- ll assess the technical feasibility of newly-created product ideas and propose accurate solutions throughout the design and development phase. You- ll evaluate different systems for use in production and drive adoption of key technological changes. You- ll lead a team of motivated and experienced engineers and enable them to provide a seamless learning experience to our customers. HOW YOU- LL RAMP

In First Week...

- Spend time with the Technology, Product, HR, and Sales teams to get up-to-speed on

By Day 30...

- Work with web, mobile, and embedded software engineers to design and build clean, usable APIs to power services.

- Build production-ready backend services to support new and existing product initiatives. By Day 90...

- Help define and build the next generation of the product/platform.

- Work on scaling various pieces of infrastructure to support the changing product roadmap.

- Act as a mentor to your team members and nurture them to grow to the next level.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

- Work with product management to understand the product requirements.

- Guide developers on coding style and best practices.

- Participate in design, review, implementation, and integration testing

- Complete consistent, hands-on work with UI design, coding, and architecture verification.

- Establish J2EE application architecture practice within the development team

- Champion the evolution of our J2EE application architecture

- Provide guidance and direction on the J2EE standards, policies, and best practices

- Provide guidance and recommendations on development methodologies and frameworks for projects as well as Java and J2EE technologies

- Maintain and enhance existing frameworks and high software standards

- Establish success criteria and act as a point of contact for the customer for technical issues and project deliverables

- Produce high quality code .

- Java, JSP, J2EE, JDBC, Servlets, Struts, Web services SOAP & RESTFUL, Activiti 5.0, JHIPSTER, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT,

- Exposure towards Web Sockets

- Mongo DB, MySQL, DB Visualizer, Pouch DB, SQL Lite,

- Exposure towards Python, Flask, Kafka/MQ

- Custom Application Images using Docker, Jenkins, Git-hub, Confluence

- Azure and AWS exposure

- Scrum, Agile, Kanban, Test Driven Methodologies

- Ability to work on the Distributed Architecture

- Strong computer system analysis and design skills in current methodologies and patterns Experience with professional production cloud (AWS preferred).

- Experience with RESTful Services and APIs.
