Role : DevOps Architect
Job Description :
- Responsible for Continuous Integration platform evolution, design and implementation.
- Will be in charge of describing the solution requirements; validate the design against those requirements, and implement ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are met by DevOps Platform.
- Ensure compliance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployments (CI/CD) Solutions within Strategy, Operations & Technology Standards, Project requirements and operational quality levels.
- Advice and coach to the IT teams in the best technical way to achieve Bank's DevOps goals. Fix and provide support to platfrom incidences and problems; and monitoring the service.
Job Role/Responsibilities : As a DevOps Architect the main responsibilities will involve the following :
- This role is accountable for end-to-end Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Platform and services associated.
Key tasks include :
- Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement DevOps solutions in compliance with the Bank's strategy.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand the CI/CD requirements for Next-generation cloud-native applications and existing systems & applications.
- Advice and coach business and technology delivery leadership on how to translate infrastructure and automation requirements into executable technology solutions.
- Perform analysis on best practices and emerging concepts in CI/CD and DevOps. Participate in Solution Strategy, innovation areas and technology roadmap globally.
- Fix and provide support for CI/CD incidences and problems. Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions.
- Create technical documentation and implement solutions definition, patterns and templates in the platform.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Information technology or Equivalent.
- Graduate with Software development certification.
As a DevOps Software Architect skills and qualifications will ideally include :
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or CI/CD in a Development Operations organization leading, administering, building and maintaining a CI/CD environment.
- In-depth experience designing and implementing DevOps or CI/CD (including Containerization and Virtualization), Release management, Deployment automation process and version control tools.
- Extensive knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with change and configuration management practices in multiple environments.
- Good knowledge of databases, middleware, web services and related standards.
Technical & Behavioural Skills :
- Experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools - Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins, Dockers, etc.
- Strongly Familiar with Orchestration software like Kubernetes, Mysos, etc to manage containers.
- Strong familiarity with and other version control systems as software configuration management and Source Code Lifecycle Management tools.
- Deep knowledge and professional experience with .Net, j2ee, Java, SQL, Weblogic and WAS technology.
- Outstanding communication skills, demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences; own a collaborative, partnership mentality. Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication (English verbal and written) & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders as a trusted advisor across all levels, including teams outside of shared services.
- Ability to think outside of the box and be innovative by keeping abreast of new trends, identifying opportunities to bring in change for business benefit.
- Ability to perform in a highly disrupt and changing work environment.
Education & Experience Required :
- Full Time BE/BTech/MSc/MCA in IT or CS
- Experience of 12 - 16 yrs
