Software Engineering Lead - Java/AWS (8-13 yrs) (Careator Technologies Pvt Ltd)

Experience: 8 -12 years

Responsibilities:

- Hands-on full stack Java & Cloud (AWS preferred) technology developer lead

- Over-see and ensure timely and quality software development delivery by the team in Chennai

- Preparing sprint planning in-line with commit Vs delivery status including but not limited to efforts, risk, priority etc.

- Responsible for continuous process improvement supporting software development deliveries

- Provide guidance in resolving all technical escalations the team works on

- Performs peer code reviews as part of everyday workflow

- Own responsibility for rapid development cycles delivery with tight schedules, integration with QA and product management teams

- Drive team's productivity, code quality & skillset development

- Own team's talent management activities right from hiring, on boarding, performance reviews and off boarding resources

Desired Skillsets :

- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development is mandatory

- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing a team of over 5+ Software Engineers (JAVA/J2EE and Cloud Tech Stack) in product development companies

- Recent experience in working with IT Start-ups is highly preferred

- Must have experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS

- Excellent troubleshooting skills

- Good knowledge of Linux environment with an exposure to at least one db e.g. Postgres, MySQL

- Good to have wireless/mobile/embedded devices/IoT/product development experience

- Experience in working with modern development & integration tool suites is required

- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a very innovative and fast paced environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in technical communications

- Experience in handling Engineering escalations from customers is preferred

- Demonstrated ability to motivate, excellent team building and leadership skills

Educational Qualification / Experience:  Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science
