Paypal India - Backend Development Manager - Payment Domain (10-20 yrs) (Paypal India)

Responsibilities : 

- Manage a team of technical resources in the delivery of great technology solutions

- Be a though-leader. Proactively drive and influence the decision-making processes aligned with the organization goals.

- Manage the ongoing development and improvement of strategy, practices, delivering key recommendations and supporting the business.

- Work collaboratively, and efficiently with all internal and external partners and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across organizational initiatives

- Active in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and coaching a team whose combined skill set meets the current and future needs of the organization.

- Active with mentor and participate leadership activities

- Help the team to consistently innovate and stay latest.

- Bring in discipline and great engineering practice in the team.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to manage the development of processes, tools and outputs that support market intelligence systems and processes.

- Work with Product team closely on building the roadmap.

- Stay in consistent touch with the customer and business trends.

- Help the team to maintain high quality, very low bug counts.

- Help in prioritization between customer issues and new development as needed

- Ensure compliance to IT policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.

Requirements :

- Overall 10 plus years of experience.

- Degree in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Top-tier performance ratings from current and prior employers.

- 6+ years of management experience, track record of attracting top talents, building a high performing successful team, and working with cross functional teams to launch new product and optimize business levers.

- Track record of attracting top talents, developing a successful business intelligence reporting & analytics team, and working with cross functional teams to launch various solutions.

- Sound knowledge on Java/ J2EE, Oracle

- Working experience on Payments domain/platform.

- Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative, agile development environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience. Comfortable to lead and influence without authority.
