Job Responsibilities :

1. Design, implement and maintain highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications.

2. Handle all aspects of the stack - building web frontends (JavaScript / React) and backends (Django / Python) and REST APIs.

3. Get/design specifications/wireframes/ mockups and translate them into scalable, high performance, robust applications. Be able to conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly.

4. Responsible to write and maintain clean, well-written code, as per industry best practices. We expect you to own and take pride in the products you ship.

5. Participate in the entire application life cycle, focusing on coding, troubleshooting and debugging (client side, server-side, database)

6. Have full autonomy and own your code, and decide on the technologies and tools to deliver as well operate large-scale applications on AWS

7. Comfortable with daily standup with clients, update daily work progress via Project Management systems, voice/video calls, online collaboration using screen-sharing tools.

8. Open to learning-related technologies and expected to work on any of the projects with core java development, web application development, API (SOAP/REST) development, Development on RAD platform (Servoy)

9. Be the first person responsible in responding to production issues and conducting any technical analysis to arrive at solutions

10. Function in a dynamic start-up environment as we experiment with more product improvements

What Makes You A Great Fit :

- Good understanding of Java/J2EE and design patterns, hands-on experience in building application

- Have proven projects under your belt where you have played an integral role

- Strong knowledge of data structures and designing for performance, scalability and availability Knowledge in MongoDB and Web services

- Knowledge of use of Instruments and Shark to detect memory leaks and for performance optimization

- Good grasp of algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded programming

- Good to have - Python, NodeJS, Mysql, Redis, Elastic Search, great people skills!

- Able to fit in well within a start-up environment and take on responsibilities
