Landmark Group - Engineering Manager - Java/J2EE/Hybris (11-15 yrs) (Landmark Group)

As an Engineering Manager, you will provide product engineering management and leadership on medium to large scale projects with internal and direct customer impact. Responsible for the day-to-day management of Engineering teams to ensure the technical quality, product quality, and efficient utilization of resources. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with high-quality standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams within Landmark Webteam and partner with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities :

- Deliver assigned projects within budgeted time, cost and agreed quality standards in Agile Scrum environment

- Partner with Product Management, Architects, Operations, other delivery teams and Release Management to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects to satisfy business needs

- Lead teams to ensure project delivery success

- Apply best-practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions that are maintainable, modular, and of high code-quality

- You work with designers, business analysts, and product managers to estimate and plan projects in an Agile - environment.

- Help define Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end.

- Create a culture that insists on meeting expectations and delivering value

- Drive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement

- Grow and manage the skills and talent in the team

- Manage communication cross-functionally and escalate promptly as issues arise

- Take responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction during project delivery

- Excellent problem solving skills and takes initiatives

You Must Have : 

- Bachelor's degree with 12 - 15 years related experience, of which at least 8 years in product development roles and at least 2 years playing Engineering Management role leading scrum teams.

- Experience in Retail eCommerce domain with knowledge of Hybris is a plus

- Strong design and coding experience

- Hands on experience in Java and J2ee technologies

- You have good knowledge of RDBMS and performance aspects to optimize SQL queries

- Knowledge of one or more of no SQLs (Mongo/Casandra), JMS, Kafka/Apache Streams is desirable

- Aware of Elastic Search, Kibana, Logstash to quickly build dashboards for simple needs

- Experience with massive-scale performance and scalability engineering

- Must have extensive experience managing projects with Agile Scrum methodology

- Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction

- Must have strong organization, communication and planning skills

- You are passionate about technology & continuously keeps abreast of emerging ones

- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent from a top tier college
